Celebrate the Vital Role of Medical Imaging and Radiologic Technologists

Rad Tech Week 2024 sponsored by Bayer, is an annual opportunity to recognize and honor the vital work of medical imaging and radiologic technologists in health care safety. From X-rays and MRIs to CT scans and ultrasounds, these dedicated professionals play an essential role in patient diagnosis, treatment, and care. This week is a time for us to acknowledge their impact on healthcare and thank them for their continued dedication.

Suggested Celebration Activities

Not sure how to celebrate Rad Tech Week with your team? Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Spotlight your rock stars. Submit recognition or kudos to your facility’s newsletter or intranet news section.
  • Ensure the vital work of medical imaging and radiologic technologists continues by making a donation to the AHRA Education Foundation. 
  • Host a celebration, lunch, or happy hour in honor of the medical imaging technologists at your place of work.
  • Share your stories! Write a LINK article or submit to Radiology Management to help raise awareness of medical imaging professionals.
  • Identify specific job-related skills your employees want to know more about. Invite a special guest with expertise in that area to spend the day at your facility.
  • Gather together for continuing education with the AHRA Online Institute offerings, including courses, on-demand webinar recordings, and more.
  • Get social! Recognize medical imaging professionals and radiologists in your facility with a celebratory/thank you post on social media. Be sure to use #RTW2024. Pro Tip: Use our sample social media post below or draft your own.
  • Hand out awards. Host a mini awards ceremony at your center. Print off appreciation certificates or give out trophies to your team members to let them know their hard work is appreciated and noticed.
